A midsize oil and gas producer was in search of a  solution to improve their fluid analysis storage,   sample scheduling and meter calibration to comply with regulatory  requirements. Their current manual approach was no  longer feasible for fluid analysis & meter calibration, as a recent acquisition had increased  their asset size to over 10,000 meters.



Critical Control’s ProTrendTM offered a solution to  provide a central storage location for all fluid analysis  composition data and meter calibration. This fluid analysis data is automatically  uploaded where a validation process flags any  samples that are out of the client’s predetermined  parameters, significantly decreasing manual  intervention.

ProTrend’s centralization of the fluid analysis ensured that all  the composition data information was made available in  one location. This decreased the time that spent by  the producer’s administrator searching for the  applicable fluid analysis data to prove compliance. As all producers  know, when it comes to proving compliance, being able to find the required information is the most  important step.

Critical Control’s ProTrendTM automatic validation  process compares each component against client  determined limits, flagging those that need to be  further analyzed. This reduces the amount of  analyses that require human intervention, freeing up  time for the administrator.

Along with saving time with the central repository and  automatic validation, ProTrend can set up sample  and meter calibration sampling which contributes to  compliance and exemption reporting.
