ProMonitor Schematics

An engineer at Canadian oil and gas producer was in search of a schematic solution that was easy to use and cost efficient. Their 50 facility schematics needed to be accessible by different business units. Their current alternative was more complicated than necessary and didn’t minimize pipeline risk and provide robust pipeline integrity.

Critical Control’s ProMonitorTM Schematics was selected as it is a web-based oil & gas schematics.  It is fully hosted pipeline software that allows for access through any computer or mobile device. It uses public and private data for pipeline risk to make the implementation timeline quick, cost effective and improves pipeline integrity.

ProMonitorTM Schematics loads public and private data for pipeline risk, wells, pipelines, and facilities that a client operates or licenses into ProMonitor.  It means the implementation is 85% complete before going back to the client. Using pipeline risk data analytics, pipeline software and measurement knowledge, assets are connected from the wellhead to sales to allow for easy visualization of flow.

Using a web-based platform, ProMonitorTM Schematics is easily accessible and ensures that stakeholders are working on the latest version pipeline software and pipeline risk is minimize. This pipeline software reduces pipeline risk, build strong pipeline integrity, enables unlimited users, each can be configured to allow for different levels of access.

Critical Control’s Schematics product receives constant public data, refreshing the data set every 2 weeks and automatically capturing any changes minimizing pipeline risk. The Management of Change (MoC) cross references the drawing with internal and public data, noting any discrepancies and ensuring pipeline integrity. The Schematic designed within ProMonitor can also include information from ProTrendTM, ProChartTM, NetFlowTM and IntegrityTM.

The oil and gas producer who was facing pipeline risk and pipeline integrity solution was implemented within 9 weeks, with training sessions conducted throughout the process. By using this pipeline software solution, the engineer was able to ensure that all business units had access to relevant drawings. Users found that accessing the drawings through the web-based solution was simple and making any changes using the redline tool was easy. Contact at – sales@criticalcontrol.com
