An American oil and gas producer had recently flagged an issue with their current gas chart integrator. They were in search of a company to audit the previously completed charts to determine the accuracy.

Clearly, providing an accurate assessment of gas production is key to ensuring compliance with local state and movement regulations and to properly complete monthly revenue allocations.  This company understood the value in accuracy and asked us to conduct an audit to ensure full compliance.

This gas chart reporting and gas recorder has gas chart reading data available 24/7 through a dedicated website.  Also digital gas chart reporting is available 24 to 48 hours after the chart is read.

After completing the audit, the producer was notified of a 30% discrepancy between their current chart integrator and ProChartTM. As this has significant repercussions, the choice was made to transfer their chart integration services from their current provider to ProChartTM.


How it works: ProChartTM’s four levels of quality assurance with a quality analyst reviewing the gas chart reporting data. Chart recorder are responsible for evaluating whether the information provided is correct, comparing it to historical data, looking for significant changes in flow or temperatures and flagging for any compliance or measurement uncertainty.

ProChartTM’s digital gas chart integration allows for the chart to be viewed after it has been scanned. There is a live status report of the chart recorder that have been scanned, which allows the user to capture any missing gas chart integration before deadlines. Additionally, the digital functionality allows for trending like Scada type analytics.
